Unveiling the Inner Artist: InterArts Cabinet of Curiosity

Chapter 1: Something Found

In the opening line of Quiccheberg's Preface from Inscriptiones, he wrote: "Whenever something good and useful appears, it is proper to offer it to whoever is most inclined to it and who is certain to be its great protector." It is in this spirit that you are tasked with finding an object that you deem of value to be included in our InterArts Cabinet of Wonders. Please select your item from the Wadsworth Museum, the Watkinson Library, or somewhere else. Your object should represent something with historical significance that you determine makes it worth protecting and sharing in our cabinet. Your work on this project should include research that allows you to provide meaningful context for the selected object. This research should be shared in the form of a written statement (min. 500 words) and could be accompanied by other support materials, as you see fit. If you wish, you may also include an additional "object" of your own creation, in whatever medium, that you make in response to your chosen selection.
